Tijuana and San Diego capture their history through parallel forms of creativity, play and resourcefulness as a cultural way of life.
Transborder Typeface is a display typeface crafted by two designers that seeks to reflect and generate impact through the idea of regional visual communication through letters. It allows us to revisit, reconfigure and redefine the narratives and imagery of a shared territory with close proximity and broad commonality, using recognizable codes for the inhabitants of the region.
The project was presented as part of the TJDW 2024 program.
